WORK TO RESUME ON MONDAY

WESTPORT, December 6,

Following on yesterday’s conference here 'between the Dennis ton miners union representatives and Mr J. C. Brown, general manager of the Westport 'Coal Company, the terms arrived at were to-day submitted to the miners at Denniston. The te r m s provided that there .should be no victimisation and that aid of the men should be reinstated. The terms went to a ballot. The voting was as follows: — .For acceptance I^4 Against Majority for ... Mr Brown has agreed to the resumption of work, and the mine, after a period of. idleness extending over about fifteen weeks, will re.commence coal production on Monday.
