SENTENCE FOR THEFT

WELLINGTON, December 6
Leslie Cyril McCarthy, jockey and labourer, aged 31, on eight charges of stealing bicycles, two of receiving stolen property, and one of the unlawful conversion of a car, was sentenced by Mr Page, S.M.„ to two terms of six months’ to be cumulative. An allegation that he forged a document at Christchurch is to bo the subject of a charge there.
