800,000 ARE RECEIVING RELIEF.

So far the Department of Labour estimates that there are 800,000 men, women and children receiving relief at the present time. .

The Lords passed the Means Test Bill in all stages after Lords Lovat, NoVar and Kinnoul protested against itg application to Scotland.
• Lord Novar contended that the extension 'of English Bills to Scotland would strengthen the Scottish Home Rule movement.
