Prices for all lines except fat lambs fell to-day at the Addington live stock sale.

There were 490 head of fat cattle offered, the - quality being good. Requirements were over-supplied. There was a general e'.sing in .all grades, and specially in medium sorts, they bung liard to quit. Heavy, bullocks sold from £9 7s 7d to £lO 2s 6d, and one extra to £ll 12s 6d; prime £7 175.,6d : to £7 18s 6d, medium £6 12s 6d to £6 15s, light from £4 ssh Ape' special he'fer £0 7s 6d; best heifers £6 15sto £6 7s 61; medium £4 10s to £5 10s, light from £3 17s 6d. Extra heavy cows sold to £7 7s 6d, heavy £5 15s to £6 -15 s, Medium to £5. There was a large yarding of mutton, practically all shorn sheep. Many consignments were of attractive quality. The market was distinctly easier throughout. Sixteen hundred fat lambs were yarded. The market was firm at a slight advance on the previous sale. Best sorts met specially keen sale, the public demand for Jamb creating good competition from all butchers. Ektra heavy lambs sold to 16s 7d, prime 12s to 14s 6d, medium 10s 6d to 12s 9d, light from 9s. The store sheep comprised an unattractive lot, most lines meeting a dull sale.

There was an over-supply of porkers and brconers. All sections suffered a drop in values. Porkers sold from 25s to 19s, heavier 30ts 6d to 34s 61, baconers 34 s 7d to 47s 6d, heavier 52s 61 and 57s 7d, choppers 25s to £2 17s 6d. Store pigs were easier.
