EVIDENCE AT INQUEST

AUCKLAND, November 16
An adjourned inquest concerning the death of Miss Elizabeh Bott, aged 61, who received fatal injuries on the Great South Road on October 22, was concluded before Mr Hunt, S.M. The Coroner found deceased was struck by to motor cars in quick succession and died before medical aid could be obtained.
The first car did not stop and has not been identified. The Coroner returned a verdict that the cause of deceased’s death was shock following multiple injuries she received when she was accidentally knocked down and run over by a' motor car driven by John Fred Newsome. . “The evidence shows,” added Mr Huns, “that deceased had just previously been struck by another car not yet identified, which was trawelling at an excessive speed.”
