CORONER’S COMMENT. i ter l J ress Association — Vopyrighl.) WELLINGTON, November 15. A verdict, according to the medical evidence, that deceased 1 died of haemorrhage of the brain, was returned by Coroner McNeil, at an inquest on Geoffrey Wilson, aged 17, “;.fpllowing qi boxing bout on October 11th. The Coroner 1 said that while not reflecting in any way upon Wellirigton or any other Boxing Association, he thought this a suitable opportunity to draw attention that in his opinion, the medical examination of boxers should be held shortly before the contest, not as was now possible, three davs before the bout Within three days something might happen to a contestant, that lie, himself, might not know about. Regarding felt underneath the canvas, he commended the suggestion that the authorities should take , steps, to see. if, in any wav, this might be incrersed.
