WELLINGTON, November 8
The Government’s difficulty in finding the best men for ccnimissipns and Committees - was commented on by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) when he replied to a deputation seeking the establishment, of
Tariff Board to fulfil the terms of the Ottawa agreement.
“Some of my most difficult work has been in the selection of commissions and committees,” said Mr Forbes. “It often happens that, the very persons you want haven’t got the time.” He told the deputation that he thought it Was far . more important to secure the services of the right men . for such, a commission as that- to inquire, into New, Ze,aland industries than merely to have men iepresenting the special intere tg concerned.
