SEAMEN’S WAGE REDUCTION

WELLINGTON, November 5
Waiting in a/ body on the Marine Superintendent (Captain C. M. Renault) the crew- of the Wahirie requested that an endorsement be placed on the ship’s articles incorporating a 10 .per cent reduction in the wages listed in the past agreement, dated August 12, 1900. This move was atthe request of the master of the Wahine (Captain 13. 13. Irwin). The new agreement comes ■ into force a s from November.
FATAL COLLISION
AUCKLAND, November 7,
Alfred George AJd-srton, 27, of O'H'liiunea. was injured in a collision of his motor cycle with a motor ear yesterday afternoon' and died in the hospital this morning.
