PALMERSTON NORTH, Nov. 7. While E. Howard, grocer, and his wife were absent at cliurch tart night, a burglar entered his grocery store, and got away with £45 in cheques and cash, which that owner thought was securely hidden. • .« jt is believed the owner's movements had been observed by the intruder, for other money, lying in the. bag on the table in the kitchen, was not touched.
