Bowling, Nichols took 1 for 71, Allom 1 for 70, Freeman 3 for 148, q’ilthprpe 0 for 43, Owten-Smith 0 for 59. , The Rest of England in its second innings mude 128 (Hone 2, Woolley 7, Valentin© 22, Taylor 28, Nichols 2, Owen-Smith 24, Chapman 24, Allom 6, Calthorpe 8, Freeman 0, Oldfield 3, extras 3. . Bowling, Larwood took 3 for 32, Tate 2~for 27, Brown 2 for 26, Verity 3 for 40, Hammond 0 for 1. . The Test' team won by 241 runs. Loveson-Gower’s eleven in the first innings lost 5 for 300 declared. India in its first innings made 280 (Jupp 5 for 86). Leveson-Gower’s second minings, 0 for 99 (Staples 58). The match was drawn.
