THEATRE FRAUDS
MISAPPLICATION OF A CHEQUE. THREE SYDNEY MEN CHARGED. ■ (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, September 5. Three well-known city men, W. J. Curtis, King’s Counsel; H. D. Mcln,tpsh, and E. Coveil,, are charged, on the information of A. J. Parsons, the .Liquidator for Rickard’s Tivoli Theatres, with having, while directors of the Tivoli Coy., misapplied a cheque for £13,570.
They are also charged was conspiring to deal fraudulently with the theatre property.
Counsel for defence said ijhat compjeto answers, would be given on all matters mentioned. The hearing was adjourned till September 19 in order that certain information; might be afforded for the defence.,
