( Unprecedented scenes were witnessed at the Newcastle quarter sessions when the names of 288 jurymen, the largest number ever 'summoned for a single case in New South ‘Wales, were called at the trial of thirty men, arrested after an alleged eviction riot. The accused challenged 121, fifteen accurec. exhausting their riuht of challenge.
