U.S.A. and japan NO REPLY TO BE ISSUED. (United Press Association—A3y Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, August 25. Unofficial Washington opinion is to the effect that no American answer will be issued to the speech on Thursday of the Japanese Foieign Minister Baron Ueliida, who in the Diet said the Japanese Government was arranging for the early formal recognition of the Manclmkua, which they were convinced was necessary to stabiii.se the conditions leading to peace in thri Far East.
It is generally considered that the speech is a statement of Japanese policy regarding Manehukuo that is intended primarily fcr the League ot Nations, and, in a larger sense, a defence of Japan’s policies before the world.
The expressed intention of Japan to recognise Manehukuo raises important problems, even to the suggestion of the Japanese violation of the Nine Power Treaty, if the League ot Nations Commission ' finds that the formation of the Manehukuo State is not spontaneous,
