The cartoonist, Mr David Lowe, accompanies a party of ten journalists, including Mr Hamilton Fyie, r in the Soviet ship “Rykow,” on a tour of Russia. Though accorded the facilities to see thefull operation of the five year plan, Mr Lowe disclaims connection with any. newspaper plan. Though lie may find material for cartoons, his visit is a private holiday.
SPANISH MARRIAGE LAWS
MADRID, July 31
In response to the Government’s detcree recognising only civil marriage, Archbishop Eijo; of Madrid, broadcast a decree that such a marriage will mean living in Sin, and the offsprings, would be ineligible for godparentship or burial in consecrated ground.
