In regard to recent press messages stating that Orangemen had' attacked (Roman Catholic districts in Belfast, and also that Orangemen had attacked and damaged Liverpool .Anglican Cathedral the parliamentary committee of t’i e Grand Lodge of New Zealand, in rep y to a cable for the facts, has received the. following from Mr Davison, Grind Lodge secretary tor Northern .Ireland.— “Orangemen had nothing whatever to do with the attack on Liverpool Cathedral. The report is absolutely absurd. It is equally untrue to say that Roman Catholic quarters in Belfast were..; . attacked. A squabble took place in one street buL''there were no riots. The judge of the Assiz e to-day complimented Belfast upon the peace and quietude of tue city.
