The New Zealand hockey team played their first game at Casino against a local team in fine weather. Thera were eight hundred present. The visitor struck form soon after the. start, and, although they encountered stiff opposition in the first half, they lef: no doubt as to their superiority in the second half, winning by 5 to nil. Best scored from a perfect centre movement, ' While Melbourne, from a ■solo effort,, notched the second goal which left the locals standing. Turbett. registered the third and fourth, and MunrQ.,,the fifth goal,
