OTTAWA BOUND
MR BRUCE INTERVIEWED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) HONOLULU, July 7. Mr Stanley Bruce, Australian Min-{ ister, interviewed here, said that Australia- was facing her troubles manfully. “We have improved our position greatly during the past year,” he said, “and we are now very hopeful of Australia’s future. If'the rest of the world tackled the problems in the same stern , fashion, a general re-, habilitation would bo. nearer. Aus- 1 tralia, .in the face,of the gravest difficulties,* has succeeded in meeting every obligation.” The Governor of Hawaii sent a message' of greeting to the New Zealand and Australian delegates, who, will be his guests to-morrow.

It is- understood that His Majesty will probably open, the Ottawa Conference by telephone if mechanical preparations ensure a good reception, otherwise His Majesty’s address will be cabled.
The British delegation which now numbers one hundred Government representatives, is taking the highest qualified experts for every phase of: the Conference, including several leading Treasury officials.
