Mr Elcock, for the objectors, said that he had withdrawn the objection several Courts ago, but had now been instructed to proceed with it. There was considerable agitation at Wataroa over this matter.
The Warden said that the Inspector of Mines had not opposed! the applications. Mr Murdoch said that certain conditions were laid’ down by the Inspector, and these were being observed.
Evidence in support was given by the applicant, Nolan, who said tha.(b they were prepared to spent £ISOO to prospect the area, and there would bs no trouble atout capital to go ahead with the work if it were warranted.
The Warden granted the applications.
