CLOTHING STOLEN. (Per Press Associatiorirf Copyright.) AUCKLAND, July 6. Thieves entered,the,clothing factory of Macky, Logan, [Caldwell, Ltd.,' in Mariukau Road, Newmarket) during the week-end and stole a- quantity ‘ of clothing valued at £7O, There' was evidence that the burglary was committed with the sole intention of taking clqthing, as the property stolen comprised fifteen suits/ mostly of navy blue serge, and a number of dress shirts.

As the result of a collision on the Carterton Road, last night, .Sidney Arthur Bishop was .arrested, and charged at the 'Court to-day, before Justices, with having been drunk while' in charge of a motor car. He was fined -£lO. 1 It was stated by the police, in Court, that accused had been convicted fouq times previously for drunkenness, but' not while in charge, of a car. Father Broughton sustained cubs about the head and face and an injury to his leg,' and was taken to the Levin Hospital. Two other passengers, Goodwin Bros., of Rongotea, we.r e unhurt, though suffering from shock.
