UNION TO TAKE BALLOT.

WELLINGTON , July 4
Proceedings in connection with the water side workers’ -dispute are reported to be nearing completion. The shipping companies have made final proposals and the Union is taking a ballot on Friday on the question whether they will accept or reject them. The Union’s rep’y is- to be given tp the shipowners by July -16th.
