A NEW FUEL MIXTURE. (United Pres* Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, June 12. . A well-kept secret was revealed after the departure of the Cunarcl liner '(‘■Scythia!,!’ from .Liverpool for America. Some of her boilers are being fitted with a ~specialfy-prepaved mixture oL sixtj per cent, of oil and forty P er 'cent, lof pulverised bituminous coal. The mixture ia made by a secret process. It is hoped that if the experiments are .successful, they will result in big savings in the Cunard Lines huge oil bill, and will also have im-portant-effects on the British coalfields, as the . Navy and the whole mercantile fleet are expected to adopt the mixture in oi’der to reduce fuef costs.
OIL FINDS IN CAUCASIA. MOSCOW, June 12. A claim that th e ' world’s largest oil deposits have been discovered was announced to the Academy of Science. It. is alleged to reveal the existence of three new oil regions, each as rich >rs ; the present Caucasian fehls.
