SITUATION IN QUEENSLAND. ADHERENCE TO PREMIER’S PLAN (Australian Press Association.) BRISBANE, June 14. The Treasurer, Mr Barnes, commenting on the result of the elections in Queensland said that the new Labour Premier, whose promises on the platform had swayed the large body of the voters, would soon be brought face t° face with the necessity of adhering to the Premiers’ plans. It would be impossible for him to r-'sp a loan of mo *«*v without assistance from the Loan Council, and the only alternative was in-n-eased taxation when the realities oi th« situation presented themselves.
