AUCKLAND, May 28.
Work was suspended at the Renown, Pukemiro, Gien Alton, Rotowaro and Wilton mines to-day, owing to stop work meetings being held at each mine. .Secret ballots were taken on the question whether Abe men were in favour of a policy ,of sharing work. The result will not b e published un- ■ til .information i.s received next week from the South Island mines, where , the men are also Holding SffflAts on this question. In the meantime the Huntly mines will continue work as usual,'untii June 4th. There is no change in regard to the Hikurangi strike.
