POOLING RECEIPTS
BRITISH RAILWAY COMPANIES

LONDON, . May 28. In the interests' of economy, two of the great railway companies, the London, -Midland and Scottish Coy., and the North Eastern Coy., have agreed to pool their receipts wherever iliere- js oomoetition between .them. This arrangeiimet will involve the elimination of overlapping, a id redundant services. There will be some curtailment of their staffs.
