AVELLLINGTON. Alay 27. A meeting of the AVellington Fire Board to-day discussed an application by the City Council that all documents relating to the recent dismiss.] of Deputy Superintendent Clark, and th e derating of Superintendent Creeke, should be made available to the Council.

The Chairman, Mr N. W. Nelson, submitted* a lengthy report, covering the position. After an animated discussion the Board decided to decline the Council’s request, hut agreed to make documents available at the office cf the Fire Board, to the Mayor or any officer deputed by him to inspect them. This was carried unanimously. Mr Semple then moved that the services of Creeke be dispensed with; This also led to a heated discussion, and the motion finally rejected by four votes to three.
