MAIL PLANE IN L’RG.JBLE

NEW YORK, May 26

A report from lia.stou (Massachusetts) states that the mail- plane catapulted from the steamship Europ.i, bound for New York from Europe, sent a series of S.O.S. calls.

The steamer sped to the plane's presumed position. The calls continued lung alter the firt one was picked up by Boston, the latest being at 3 p.m.. when the Europa was believed to he nearby.
