WELLINGTON, May 24

Tlie figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand for the month of April, 1932, show that the exports were valued at £4,957,535, and the imports were valued at £1,760,689. For the corresponding period of last year the figures were £2,746,191 and £2,080,163 respectively.

For the period of four months ended April, 1932, the exports were valued at £16,457,130, and the imports at £7,609.972. For the corresponding four months period last year, the figures were £14,902,609 and £9,576,882 respectively. , The values shown for the exports are the cKHnred f.o.b values in terms of New Zealand currency; while imports a-re valued on the basis of values in the exporting countries plus ten per cent.
