NEW YORK, May 21
The police criminal alien squad arrested a man, described as Frederick Joubert Duquesiie, aged 52, and widely known as a.i anti-British adventurer. He was charged with being a fugitive from * jlilrfice jn 1918, while awaiting
extraditibri to England on a charge of bombing the. Lamport and Holt liner, Tennyson, in Brazilian waters in 1916, and killing three British seamen. Duquesne came to New York in ISI7, impersonating an officer of the Australian Light Horse. A strange feature coinciding with his arrest, is the publication of a book in New York “The Man Who Killed Kitchener.” The author of the book purports to show that Duquesne was responsible for sinking the Hampshire. The British Consulate communicated with officials in London regarding the action to be taken, if any.
