OPPERMAN’S CYCLING SUCCESS

MELBOURNE, May 24. Hubert Opperman broke the world’s cycling 24 hour record of 634.) miles in this attempt. -He has covered the distance in 16 hours 42 minutes 55 seconds. Opperman has also collected the world’s twelve hour outdoor and indoor records, and the world’s 18 hour outdoor record. Opperman is still riding. He hopes to complete a thousand mile ride tonight. thousand miles record. MELBOURNE, May 25. Opperman completed the thousand miles ride in twenty-eight hours, fiftyfive minutes, thirty-nine seconds, thus establishing the world’s tmotor paced record for the distance.
