CHRISTCHURCH, May 17
“T. am going to give you a chance. If you take advantage of it, well and good; if not, look out.” In tlie.se words Mr E. D, Mosley, S.M., addressed Richard Joseph Keogh, a salesman, aged thirty years, in the Magistrate’’s Court this morning. Keogh appeared for sen. tence on .a charge of issuing a valueless cheque on April 16. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within twleve months if called on, an order for restitution amounting to £7 7.s 6d being made. ‘T only hope you take this as a lesson. The report from the probation officer at Dunedin is not satisfactory.” added the Magistrate.
