GR.EYMOUTH, May 17.

Hon. G. Forbes and Hon. MacMillan, each telegraphed to Mr P. J. McLean, Chairman, of the Grey Chamber of Commerce, stating that the coal owners are willing to meet the Miners’ Council in conference as early as possible. Meanwhile the former working conditions are to continue.

Probably the mines will work tomorrow.
