VISITORS’ HIGH PRAISE
“In -all iny travels I have never seen such concentrated beauty as there is at the Franz Josef Glacier v in the Waiho Gorge,” recently do- / dared Mr Hc/.lii:er Sturges, of New York, who has lately been visiting the glacier on his sixth tour of the world. •Mr -Sturges was very much impressed with the walks through the bush to and from' the glacier, and also with the v2:w 'from the window of the new church at Franz Josef. Even higher praise of another renowned Itourist resort in ‘ New Zealand has, however, been voiced by two muchtravelled Americans at the Milford Sound 'Hostel, who, a few weeks ago, x extolled the glories of the Sound in Vx / the following entry hr” the visitors |Kbook: “Banff, Darjeeling, Yosemite, ...j Victoria Fai’s, Oslo, La Paz and Hi.o rolled into one, hut the best feature is 'the M’Uford Sound Hostel.
