AUCKLAND, .April 27. ‘‘One of the points raised by the Unemployed (Relief Workers’ .Association in the proposals for the settlement of the strike last week,” said the Mayor, Mr G. W. Hutchison, this morning, “'had reference 'to the i’el ef camps. To-day I arranged for a Committee consisting of Archbishop Avorul (who kindly offered h«s services), Rev. C. Houcher, Major Put tick, and Dr W. M. McCormick, to visit- a number of the camps with the District ■Engineer of the Public Works Department. and Mr W. Slaughter, of the Labour Department. On their return they will report upon the general conditions and amenities of the camps which have been established for the workers. The Committee left on their visit of inspection this morning.'’
