At a meeting of the Grey Harbour Hoard last evening the Harbourmaster (Captain F. W. Cox), submitted his monthly report as follows : —During March, the liar maintained a very good average depth, and the weather was very favourable for shipping movements. The depths at high water were: .Spring tides. March Hth, bar uf'l't, 1 in, river, 22ft lin; spring tides. March 2drd. bar 27ft din, river 2ll't din; neap tides, March Kith, bar ndi't Klin, river 20l't; nen*> tides .March dOLli, bar 22ft; river 21 ft Gill. The month’s average was bar 21ft 9m , river 21 ft bin. The rainfall for March was 2.58 inches and fell on five days. Shipping for March was: Inward 2d steamers Pi,TOO foils; outward 2d st«*aniors IS),040 tons. 11. iif? —T lie anmia I survey certificate expired on March Hist, and will be placed on the dip for inspection when they suit.
