MAN KILLED BY AIOTOR CYCLE

AUCKLAND, Mach 23

As the result of injuries received when he was knocked down by a motor cycle in Queen Street last night-, F. Wheelhouse, aged 21 died in the Hospital this morning. Wheelhouse was a married man living in Newmarket. He was a clerk employe! by L. J), Nathan Ltd. He was knocked down by a cycle near Fort Street as he was about to cross the street. 1 intaken to a pharmacy near the scene mediately after the accident he was of the accident and treated for shock. He rested t'w a while and then said lie though lie was well enough to go Lome. He did so, and said lie would follow the' advice given and go straight to bed. About 7 o’clock, however, Dr Vivian was called, and he ordered the injured man to the hospital. He was admitted to the hospital at 1.50 a.m. in a semi-con-scious condition.

DESCENT IN HIGH WIND

PALMERSTON N., Alarc’h 21

A parachute descent was made at the, Milson Aerodrome yesterday by J. S. Eraser, of Soekburn, from an altitude of 1500 feet.

A high wind was blowing when Air Fraser made his descent and upon striking the ground lie received a naisty bump on the forehead and a twisted thumb. When lie climbed out on the wing of the ureoplane Air Fraser was about a quarter of a mile from the aerodrome. A second descent was cancelled owing to the wind.
