SUGGESTED VISIT
OF MEMBER OF ROYAL FAMILY. (By Telegraph—-Per Press .Association) WELLINGTON, March 10. The - hope that a member of the Royal Family might be able to visit New Zealand next year, on the occasion of the Congress of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire was expressed by Mr Jacobs, President of the United Commercial Travellers Warehousemens Association, at the opening of the annual conference today., ; Replying, the- Governor-General said there was no lack of willingness . »n the part of the King and members of the Family to comply with an invitation. It- was only fair to say, however, that economic conditions in the Old Country and New Zealand rendered realisation of hope extremely difficult. He said his efforts would be unremitting, but unless there was' a very substantial improvement in the financial position and outlook of both countries, he very much feared that they would not have the' opportunity of welcoming a member of the Royal Household.
