TWO MORE PERFORMANCES, BY SIR. MALCOLM CAMPBELL. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 25, In addition to breaking the record for one mile,. Sir Malcolm Campbell’s performance establishes a new record for one kilometer and five kilometres, Britain holds all the official speed records for land, sea. and air. These records were secured in the air by Flight-Lieutenant .Stainforth, at 407.5 miles per hour and on the water by Kayo Don., at 110.23 miles per hoar. A claim bv the American, Gar Wood, to have attained a water speed of 112.712 miles per hour, has not been officially recognised. The records for motor-cycling speed, both on track and road, are also held by English riders, and the fastest railroad speed goes to the credit of the Great Western Railways’ Cheltenham flyer, driven by engine-rdiver Stone, at 81.2 miles per hour. FURTHER ATTEMPT DEFERRED. NEW YORK, February 25. A message from D'aytona Beach states that Sir Malcolm Campbell today postponed his record attempt to Friday, owing to rain. -
