APPRENTICES’ ACT

CONDEMNED BY BUILDERS. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WANGANUI, February 25. The Master Builders’ Federation, now sitting at Wanganui, passed a resolution that representations should be made to the Prime Minister, urging the abolition of the Apprentices’ Act, and the reversion to the apprenticeship clauses under old awards, which were in operation prior to the Apprentices’ Act coining into force. Officers were elected as follow: President, Mr J. W. Graham. (Christchurch) ; Vice-President, W. Ellis (Dunedin). The next annual Conference will be held at Dunedin.
