THE NEW SCRUM. ALL BLACK’S VIEWS. by Telegraph.—Per Press AstnCwt-ioH\ HAMILTON, January 27. There is nothing wrong with our formation, which has stood the test of forty years, stated George Gillett of Hamilton, one of the star players of the 1904-1905 All Blacks. Gillett, during that tour, played frequenly in the role of wing forward. A proposal aiming at any change that New /tealand Rugby has known for so long, will meet with much opposition when it comes before the annual meeting of dtelegiafcts. There is nothing to say you cannot play a man in thiis position if you have ten players in tile scrum. He said the one person to handle the wing forward is the referee. A good wing forward can open up the game as well as the Lest half back. Both can take their place on the field without detriment to them or the team work as a whole.
