Following the proclamation of a general strike at Belfast, Reds and Royalists clashed at night. Workmen attempted to suck the Catholic liewspaper“Gaeeta~Del Norte”, and shot the doorkeeper'. They subsequently attempted to fire a convent, but were repulsed by armed Royalists, with several casualties. Troops guarded the principal religious buildings. Communists marched to the prison and obliged the authorities to release two comrades.
