BETTY WINS THIRD' RACE

WELLINGTN, January 19

In decisive fashion, the Betty, the champion Evan’s Bay Jellieoe cess yacht, won the third qualifying race for the twelfth Sanders Cup contest, held on the Harbour ithis afternoon.

The Avenger, from an excellent start, held the lead for nearly half the conroe. but when overtaken by the Betty, she fell gradually more and mere behind. The Bat tv finished - mins d 4 secs, ahead of the Avenger.
