WEDDING BELLS
FRASER—KING. A popular wedding was celebrated afe St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Hokitika, yesterday afternoon, the Rev. Naylor officiating. The contracting parties were Robert Donald Fraser, ot lvliandallah, Wellington, and Hazel Jane Thomson King, third daughter vl. Mr and Mrs James King, Fitzherbert Street, Hokitika. The Bride who entered the Church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a model frock of ivory georgette and lace combined. -Shewore the usual orthodox wreath and veil and carried a beautiful shower bouquet-of lilies and roses. The Bridesmaids, Misses Jessie and Winnie stevenson (cousins of the Bride' looked dainty in frocks of soft shades of delpli blue and pink dawe floral georgette-. They wore model hats in tone, straw crowns and tulle prims, with ostrich plumes curling under the brims. They also carried beautiful bouquets in shades of blue and pink. Mr James King (brother of the Bride) and Mr Raul Renton junr. ably carried out) their duties as best man and groomsman. The Church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, and. included a large wedding bell under which tiie couple stood lor the ceremony. Alter the ceremony the numerous guests were entertained at the rese dence of the . Bride’s parents, where they partook of the wedding breakfast and the usual toasts were honoured The Bride and Bridegroom le»t later by car, en route for Wellington (their future home), the bride travelling in a navy costume and hat to match and a handsome stole (the gift of the bridegroom). The happy couple were the recipients .of many beautiful gifts, and telegrams, testifying to the high esteem in which they were held. The beautiful bouquets were tbe gifts of Mrs James Moore, Fitzherbert St., Hokitika.' G ORDON—BEARDSLEY. The wedding took place at St. John’s Presbyterian Church yesterday of Miss Mary Elizabeth Beardsley, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs, J. Beardsley, of Te Kingai, to Mr John Gordon, also of Te Kinga. Rev. H. R. Fell officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a blue crepe de chine dress with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a bouquet of maiden hair fern and flowers. Mips Evelyn Beardsley, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid, and she wore 1 a dress of blue •celanese with hat and shoes to tone, carrying a bouquet of maiden hair fern and flowers. Mr G. Beardsley, brother of the bride, was best man. Mr and Mrs Gordon left by car on their honeymoon tour to the Glaciers.—Argus.
