New representations to Japan to prevent hostilities in Manchuria were announced to-day by the State Department, which said the Ambassador in Tokio (Mr Forbes) had been instructed to express again to the Japanese Foreign Office tile United States Government’s concern over the reports tintt the Japanese army is contemplating movements on CJiuichoiv.
