9 DEATH WHILE BATHING. ELDERLY INVALID’S END. (By Telegraph—ter Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, December 22, Though she was under the care and attention of a doctor and nurse because of a weakness of the heart, Mrs Ada M’lvenzie, aged 13 years, went for her usual swim at New Brighton yesterday morning. Half an hour later she was found lying dead' in a few inches ot water. Dr Stevens was called, and gave the cause of death as heart failure. It is surmised that Mrs M’Keuzie collapsed an soon Us she entered the water.

Mrs M’Eefizie, who tived with her mother, aged 93 years, at 24., Lonsdale Street, New Brighton, hud. been receiving medical attention for some time but had rarely missed her morning swim. She went down to the beach at 9 o’clock yesterday, and a short time afterwards Mr J. A. Lye, going along the beach, saw her lying in a few inches of water. It was at first thought that she was drowned. No inquest will be necessary. FOUND DROWNED. AUCKLAND,. December 22. Ernest Jackson, fish merchant, left his shop yesterday morning in v motor car. He was seen about an hour later outside the Henderson Domain, and last evening Jackson’s body was found near the bank of a creek. Ajt the inquest, (which was adjourned, it was stated that he had written to his sister-in-law. saying tha< he intended to commit suicide.

FALL PROVES FATAL. DUNEDIN, December 22. Through falling from a cabbage free in a vacant section this afternoon, a hoy named Ronald Smith, aged eight years received injuries from which he died in the hospital, DEATH AT SEA. TVELLLJ NGTON. December 22. The death occurred on the voyage on board the liner Ilangitane, which arrived yesterday from Southampton. When approaching the Panama Canal, a first saloon passenger, Mrs I. B. Reynolds, passed away. Her funeral was at sea.

CORONER'S FINDING. GISBORNE, December 23. A verdict of natural causes was returned by the Coroner at the inquest into the death of Christopher Collins who was found dead in a' whare at lHangaroa early on Monday morning.
