SAFE BLOWERS
ATTEMPT AT THEATRE FAILS. (By Telegraph —Per tress Association) INVER CARGILL, December 22. An unsuccessful attempt to blow open the safe in the office of the Majectie Theatre was made last evening or early this morning, but although gelignite was apparently used on the sale, it resisted the efforts of the burglars, and was only slightly dam* aged, An entrance was effected through an unlocked window. Foiled in their attempt, the burglars had to be content with 4/- in money, which was in the office. Holes were bored in the exit door, which the intruders were unable to open, and they made their escape in this manner. This is the second attempt to rob the theatre, as about two months ago an unsuccessful endeavour was made to enter the building.
