Thomas Cunningham, a- well-known Hastings auctioneer, who -’fit- Hastings on Wednesday was fined £2 on each of glx oharges of failure to account for money received as the proCegds of sales, appeared this morning ort eleven indictable hmtfigeis, of fraiudulently failing to account for moneys received. The total amount involved in the seventeen counts is £lls 17s. Accused’s evidence showed that he used the money in paying other people. He pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence at Napier. He Was allowed bail totalling £3OO.
