TOBACCONIST ROBBED

WELLINGi uN, December 4
Burglar® visited a tobacconist shop at Papakura early this morning, and stripped the shelves bare of stock, valued at £7O. It is thought- that the stock was packed and removed in a motor vehicle.
INJURIES PROVE FATAL,
AUCKLAND, December 4
Mr Lewis’s injuries have proved fatal. Last night a motor car crashed into a telgrnpli pole at Remuera, being almost completely wrecked, and T. R. Lewis, .manager of the Chess Taxis, who was a passenger, was seribusily injured. The driver escaped serious Injury.
