VIOLENT GALES

Britain and the surrounding coasts ato to-day experiencing a violent gaie.
The French three-masted schooner “St. Anne,” went ashore at Port ILeven, near Penzance, and is a total loss, although her crelv were saved. Mollison, the holder of the Aus-tralia-Britain flight record, flew to Lympns -to-day,. but postponed h:s intended start for the Cape.
The Prince of Wales set out by air fbr Liverpool, but 'the weather became so violent -that he was advised to continue ‘by train.
A sixty mite -an hour gale prevented the ;‘‘Baradine” from entering Plymouth, She was hove to ofi Eddystone throughout the night.
