Following on a diminution of over 23,000 in the number of the unemployed recorded last week, the Ministry of Labour figures published show a further decline of 24,000. At October 12th, the numbers on the Registrars of the Unemployment Exchanges were 2,120,000 unemployed; 531,000 temporarily out of employment ;and 115,000 normally in casual employment, thus making a total of 2,766,000.
