FURTHERi PARTICULARS. DINGHY FOUND. ' J ,?, > ■- ■ . (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 19. The following telegram was received by the Secretary of Marine to-day from Constable Audley of Collingwood who organised a search near Cape. Farewell.— “The coast has been searched from the Spit lighthouse southwards as far ■ as Anaweka near Kahurangi lighthouse. I am endeavouring to have, a search made from Anaweka further south. At 3 p.m. on Sunday the 11th inst. a settler, named Riley, found on the rocks, a mile north of Grey cliffs, West Wanganui Inlet, a. ship’s dinghy 16 feet long painted white outside and reddish brown on top. There was no name and it was slightly damaged.’’ An effort is being made by the Marine Department to have the dinghy identified.

Ca.pt. Holm has little doubt it belonged to the Kotiti. In addition to being manned by tbo five men of the Kotiti it carried two other passclngc-s. The ship was entitled to carry passengers. Those on board were Christopher Johannsen, Master; Hector Soares, Engineer; James Clark, Assistant- Engineer aged 18, of the West Coast; A. Davidson of-Reefton, cook; George Hughes, of Tahiti, a seaman; Hamilton Matthews, telegraphist; and Stanley Cummings, taxi driver. Vessels coming over the Kotiti’s route have seen nothing.
